Remember when we printed out web pages to highlight, annotate, and share? A bridge between virtual and physical, a reminder of the page in a web page. Print This Doc is a little experiment exploring that sensation. Check it out, and make sure to Print Preview to see the whole thing! The union of two interesting concepts, the tiny.site, a really small, dedicated website that exists to demonstrate a singular concept, and the exploration of the physicality of the virtual.

When I learned that I could format what gets rendered in the printed page differently than what shows up on the web page, it became an interesting area to explore. The digital and virtual make an alluring promise of abundance and infinites, but with this example, it is the tangible that fulfills the promise of multitudes.

Thinking about the bus, and by extension public transportation, as the circulatory system of industrialized society. Public transportation is often seen as both the hallmarks of a developed urban space as well as a site of tension. It’s a place that brings together people that wouldn’t usually interact with each other, people across age, profession, class (to a certain extent). And it’s not just people of different neighborhoods, it’s people of different neighborhoods in movement.
